Today’s
motorsports helmets are very advanced compared to those of just a few years ago.
We have two groups to thank for this: the developers of more stringent and
thoroughly researched test standards, and the helmet manufacturers who have made
vast improvements in materials and construction technology. But both groups
continually warn users that a helmet is good for only one impact, and they
stress returning the helmet to the factory if you have any doubts as to whether
