Stainless Steel Brake Lines:

Galfer’s steel braided brake lines are made of PTFE 62 Dupont-Teflon , around the inner Teflon we have 16 strands of steel braided cable (most companies only use 12) that allows for almost 0 expansion effect when applying pressure to the brake lever. Galfer Brakes
All Galfer lines are coated with a clear or colored protective coat, protecting the line from the weather and the bike from scratches.
All Galfer kits come complete with banjo bolts and washers for easy installation. Banjo bolts should never be torque over 12 to 15 ft\lbs.
All Sport Bike kits are 2 line kits; with the lines traveling from the master cylinder to the caliper directly.
All kits are made bike specific.
All ATV kits are 3 line kits that include T block to be located in place of the OEM T block.

Galfer’s new lines not only weigh close to nothing, but they also perform and look great.

Why buy Galfer Braided Brake Lines:

They cost less than OEM lines, OEM lines are not steel braided, they are made of rubber.
Rubber OEM hoses expand when the brake system gets hot. Steel braided lines do not; they keep great lever feel and performance.

The new Galfer HH compounds are formulated on advanced Ceramic composites.

This new Advanced Ceramic material can achieve friction peaks as high as 0.7u!!!, almost unheard of in our industry.
We wanted to push the envelope with this new compound. The advanced ceramics allow the brake pads to self cool and dissipate their own heat once the rider releases the brake lever. Pads without this type of compound tend to retain heat and “fade” under hard or repeated braking.
This new compound is also easier on the rotors than most other sintered metallic compound brake pads.

Galfer Semi-Metallic 1052/54 Carbon Compound
The Galfer 1052/54 Semi-metallic compound was originally designed for sport bike riding and touring. Although many riders over the years successfully raced the 1052/54 compound in motor cross, the compound became very popular with ATV’s and snow mobiles. Taking all of this under consideration, Galfer formulated a an extremely versatile compound to suit the customers needs.

Galfer BrakesThis compound is made to hold up in all sorts of weather, from wet to dry, and abrupt temperature changes. The semi- metallic fibers make this a very rotor friendly compound, but yet maintain long lasting life.

Galfer’s wave rotors were first introduced to the Motorcycle Industry for Trial bikes and then Snowmobile machines, soon to follow were Sport Bikes and ATV’s as well as Off Road applications. All Galfer Wave rotors are laser cut and made of a unique high carbon 420 stainless steel material that has been pre-heat treated and parallel double disc grounded to assure perfect flatness and the most efficient contact surface between pad and rotor.

Front Sport bike units are full floating and have an aluminum center carrier.
Some front Off Road applications are full floating.
All Wave rotors will improve the lever feel and feed back allowing the rider to get a much stronger and progressive brake then other units would. (Added trailing edge on the brake pad surface)
Wave rotors are also great for keeping mud off the surface friction plate, allowing for the brake pads durability to be extended in muddy conditions. (Self-cleaning action)
Most Wave applications are lighter than the original OEM rotors.
